BulimiaEating Disorder; Bulimia Nervosa; Normal Weight BulimiaBulimia is a syndrome characterized by episodes of binge eating. Binge eating is the rapid consumption of massive quantities of food within a limited time. Intense feelings of guilt and shame follow binge eating. These negative feelings trigger purging and dieting as attempts to relieve negative feelings and restore a sense of control.
